I'd just like to point out first that this might not be true, but apparently she is also going to write New Moon where Edward doesn't leave so, keep your fingers crossed. I heard she is in the mist of making a new book called Blue Sun, it sounds exciting from what I here from the new characters involved and the relationship between Renesme and Jacob. Even Leah and her little brother have love interest in the book. It's strange twist and something you thought you'd never see in a twilight book..

Yes, Stephenie Meyer is currently working on a few writing projects. She recently released a new novel in the "Twilight" series called "Midnight Sun," which retells the events of the first book from Edward's perspective. Meyer has also mentioned a potential sequel to "The Chemist," a standalone novel she published in 2016.

While both the "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer and "The Southern Vampire Mysteries" series by Charlaine Harris feature vampires and romance, they are two distinct and separate series with different storylines, characters, and themes. It is not accurate to say that Meyer copied Harris's work.
Is it true Stephenie Meyer copied someone else's book?
No. I am sure she did, however, read numerous vampire books before writing the Twilight series, and these may have been her inspiration. She may have taken old ideas (Vampire Diaries was written in early 90s) and revamped them (no pun intended.) If she had copied someone else's book, that would be plagiarism, and the person whose book she copied would probably sue.
