Everything is very simple: no psychic is legitimate. And no psychic is legitimate because the paranormal does not exist, there is no paranormal phenomena. What exists is an enormous desire to believe, because the world is full of gullible people, misinformed people, and there are many charlatans who live off the money from these people, inventing all sorts of scams. Many people believe that there are no such things as "honest psychics". However, a legitimate psychic would not try to distract a customer with both decor and/or theatrical acting.
You can try to dispute the charge with you financial institution. However, if the Psychic reading was done by a legitimate organization or by a person with a legitimate business, you may have trouble getting your money back. Why you might ask. You pay for a service - you receive the service - transaction complete and that's why your financial institution would see it as a legitimate charge.
There are no scientific studies showing the validity of psychic readings. The reason for this is because there is no scientific proof that it is legitimate. You can read reviews from people who have stories of it working for them, but that is all the proof you can get.
Psychics should be considered entertainment. They should not be regarded as real as there's absolutely no evidence of anyone have the legitimate ability to read anyone's mind.
