Tasmania is not a geographical part of the Australian mainland..but it certainly is politically..before Tasmania was Tasmania it was van dieman's Land..and tit was part of NSW!..so yes Tasmania is part of Australia!
There is no island that fits this description. Tasmania, the island state of Australia, is South of Australia's southeast coast, but it is not really northwest of New Zealand but closer to just west.
I don't really know what you're asking, but I think you mean Australia and Tasmania- which is a state in Australia. Tasmania is the apple or heart shaped island south of Australia. It is sometime called the Apple Isle. Tanzania is a country in Africa. Hope this helps. Aj :)
Fiji is really close to Australia.
because you will get skin cancer
Dont be thick! Dont you know that Australia is a country itself as well as being a continent? Australia doesnt have countries, it has states and territories. If you want 5 of them, here: New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania. There are 3 more; I challenge you to work them out. Its really not that hard
Australia can be classed as an island, or as a continent, or even as an island continent! There seem to be various views that depends on a persons perspective and reasoning. Personally, I think that Australia is a continent!
No. The Koala is not found naturally in either Western Australia or Tasmania. However, recent attempts to introduce the species into selected national parks of Western Australia have been highly successful, with the colonies increasing in size. Koalas are only native to the eastern states.
Australia is not counted as one of the Pacific Islands because it is a country and a continent. New Zealand technically isn't considered one of the Pacific Islands because it is a country of Australia that stands by itself. I hope this helps you:) i really do you, like heaps, if it doesnt help you, come to Jamaica and slap me down, :D
New zealand is really more east of Australia than it is south. 90 mile beach on the north island of NZ is almost exactly the same latitude as bondai beach outside sydney NSW. The whole of the north island and half of the south island of nz are level with or above the southernmost part of oz, the huon valley in Tasmania.
It really Depends what Island your on because every Island is different.
This question cannot be answered because you did not tell us what "it" is!
Australia does not have any external states - just one island state, which is Tasmania. It does, however, have 7 external territories. They are: * Australian Antarctic Territory * Coral Sea Islands Territory * Norfolk Island * Territory of Ashmore Reef and Cartier Island * Territory of Heard and McDonald Islands * Territory of Cocos (Keeling) Islands * Territory of Christmas Island
