Answer:
From time to time there have been persons who came to this Earth who claimed that God has communicated a message to them.
Everyone of those persons brought with them CLEAR signs. Miracles. Proofs.
Every single one was the highest and best example of humanity. Not only that, but they foretold the coming of the ones that came afterwards.
From Abraham on, the Prophets of God were true.
No. Religion is not a myth - if it is the true belief (in The One and Only Creator).
Some of The Bible's stories are Myth-Adam and Eve for example. Some of it is fact based on people's memories of what happened-the story of Jesus for example. There is evidence some of the people and events in the Bible did take place, but, the Bible is Not a History Book, it's a book that gives people instruction on how they should live their lives.
Answer:
In His prayer to His Father in heaven in John 17 -- Jesus prays for His disciples [and for those in the succeeding generations who believe in Him because of the works they would do].
He speaks to His Father regarding "the Word of God" [which is both at once... the Living Christ, Himself, and the written Living Word of God, the Bible].
He prays to His Father to "sanctify" His disciples [set them apart from the rest of the world and the heathen for God's holy purpose] THROUGH HIS FATHER'S TRUTH! Then, Jesus clarifies for us in this "recorded prayer" for our edification:
"THY WORD IS TRUTH"!!! (John 17:17)
Therefore... if the Bible is a myth... then, JESUS IS A LIAR -- and there is no God.
But, if Jesus is Truth, as the Bible says... then, THE BIBLE IS NOT MYTH.
To the unsanctified unbelievers in the world who "resist the Truth" of God... they see the perfection and design of God's miraculous creation all around them... and call it an "accident." To the world, the Bible will remain a myth until Jesus returns. Then it will not be able to deny God's Truth any longer.
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the Truth by their wickedness." (Rom.1:18 NIV)
To those who are "sanctified" by God's TRUTH -- THE BIBLE IS THEIR DEFINITION OF TRUTH!
And it's the uninspired historical writings of men that shall be revealed to be the myth in the end.
"...mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal... having a form of godliness but denying its power.
"Have nothing to do with them.
"...Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men OPPOSE THE TRUTH -- men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected." (II Tim.3:1-8 NIV)
The Bible is TRUTH... not myth.
The funny thing about religion is that is requires faith, much like most of the science we are fed today. Everything requires faith, a belief in something. So in that way, yes religion, like everything else, is fallible.
Very many people believe that God is a myth. It is not possible to prove definitively either that God exists or that he does not.
There is uncertainty about whether Jesus, the man, really existed. Some believe that Jesus actually did exist, as a wandering preacher, but that he was not the Son of God.
Hinduism is a religion, just as Christianity or Judaism is. Of course, it contains various traditions of mythological origin, just as Christianity and Judaism probably do.
Jesus is the only Son of God. God transformed into a human just for us and came down to earth to save us from eternal death. God is Jesus, Jesus is God.
No. Satyrs are just Greek myths. God of satyrs is Pan the god of the wild and satyrs.
Judaism does not believe Jesus is the son of god or the messiah. Islam believes in Jesus, just that he is not the son of God but a prophet like Muhammad.
Roman Myths.
It depends on the religion. In Christianity, Jesus is considered God and not a prophet because he is an incarnation of God Himself. In Islam, Jesus is considered to be prophet and not God Himself because God is singular and does not have associates.
no just jesus and god...................................AND THOR!
just God his father
No they were just the carriers of jesus
god just had a sweet tooth
the was the messenger god
No way for that because God is way greater than that, Jesus is just a human God send him to tell people to worship only God no one else.
No one really "married" God, he just asked Mary to be the bearer of Jesus.
