The Legend of Annie Murphy is a mystery by Frank Peretti. It is written for upper elementary aged readers. it is a very good book. I was wondering if there was a real legend which the story may have been based on. I am not interested in fat ladies at anyone's church. I asked an intelligent question and an intelligent answer would be appropriate. Just because there is no accountability on the internet does not give people permission to be stupid. Thank you and have a nice day!!

No: he was a real person, not a legend
No. There's no such thing as headless people.AnswerJust because there is no such thing as headless people, does not set it back from being a real legend. A legend does not have to be true, in fact they almost never are. The definition of a legend is, "A story about a mythical or supernatural being". So, that would mean The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a "real" legend.
