thats a very good question and a good choice of books.i have read 3 of them and truly speaking the theme of 3 of them is different.the common element is vampires.so u read 3 of them as they all are par beyond excellence.truly.u`ll not be disappointed specially in vampire academy.

There's no way to really know. Unless you hold an online poll but The Vampire Diaries is an older book having come out in 1991 but back then it was a New York Times Best Seller, as is Twilight. Whereas Twilight is more recent. In my opinion The Vampire Diaries is way better than Twilight (don't hate me, it's just my opinion) I hope this answers your question Second person- I really think vampire diaries is better. But I'm sure that some other people will choose Twilight because it is more recent and I'm sure not all of them read Vampire diaries.
