We try to give answers to many questions, but that is where we need help from everyone. Anyone can come on the site and answer questions, but many people ask and don't answer. Maybe we could all help by finding a couple of questions that we can answer and doing it... then more questions overall will be answered. :)

Because we appreciate all the help we can get to answer as MANY questions as possible, however, there are limitations when being a guest of WikiAnswers such as not being able to edit their answers or others answers to improve them, not being able to make edits of the question etc.

The answers on wikianswers are provided by an army of volunteer answerers which are overseen by an army of volunteer supervisors (moderators). Anyone who visits the site is able to ask or answer questions. Due to the volunteering nature of wikianswers, it is inevitable that some questions will receive inappropriate or incorrect answers. Wikianswers' supervisors do their best to catch these and fix them, but with nearly 8 million questions in the database, obviously some will sneak by. If there is some answer in particular which you feel has been inappropriately or incorrectly answered, feel free to fix it yourself... failing that feel free to contact one of wikianswers' friendly supervisors to give it a look see.

Accountants are the best type of people to speak to about tax questions. They should be able to answer any of your questions or at least know where to find the correct answers.
Why does WikiAnswers not have private messaging?
WikiAnswers does not have private messaging because it is not meant to be a social networking site. Since it is meant for questions and answers, anything pertaining to that should be able to be done publicly on the message boards. Email services can be used to communicate privately.

At this time if you would like to improve an answer on WikiAnswers you are required to make an account and sign in. Unregistered users are able to answer unanswered questions but are not able to edit existing answers. This reduces the amount of vandalism on the site and keeps good answers from being erased or changed.
