Yes, I think it's reliable, especially considering science matters (which I have studied the most). If your question refers to Propaganda as well, then I really don't know...

I agree. Wikipedis is a reliable source of info it's just that people think it isn't because anyone can edit it. It's true that it can be edited by anyone but they all think its a terrible website because of this.

i agrre and disagree with this. i agree because most of the time it is reliable. i disagree because as you said everybody can edit it so if someone knew nothing about the subject can still edit it and put bogus information.

Yes, it is. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and encyclopedias are books of facts. It is true that it can be edited, but so can nearly every other "reliable" website out there. Answers.com included.

No, this is because wiki lets anyone who has an account with them improve what is on their website so you never know who put that up on the site and if it is true!!!

It sometimes is, but I would reread the information first, to see if it makes sense or find another database, because they do let anyone with a account change the information around.

How did you know if one site is good or bad?

Compare the site to at least two other good sites, then see if Wikipedia has the same information and facts. If it does, the site's reliable. If Wikipedia disagrees with the information on that site, Wikipedia's lying, and the site is reliable.
