I happen to be a serious gun enthusiast and also a avid shooter. I spend enough money to do the job properly, but also without spending money that does not need to be spent. I also own guns that are custom built and cost a pretty good chunk of change (5,000-7,000). If you are not as serious as i am about guns then you can pick up cheap gun cleaning kits at your local wal-mart. Windex is a terrible chose because it gum your bore, and remove important oil and grease from the gun. Don't cheap out on the care of your weapon. If you take care of your weapon your weapon will take care of you. Also, you get what you pay for. You buy cheap equipment you get cheap equipment.
