There are certain claims about the university for not being accredited just because It does not have an .edu suffix in the website URL. I am not entirely convinced if a .edu suffix can exactly justify or help us determine the 'fakeness' of any educational institution. If this were true then anyone can come up one day and claim that the University of Liverpool or Drexel University is also fake because their distance education website does not have a .edu suffix. There are educational institutions that have .org or .com for suffix and provide an international accreditation. Doesn't sound fair to label a school based on a suffix. Yes, it's true that most universities use the .edu suffix in their website URL, but then again almost all of these are traditional schools with physical offices where distance education is just another feature of their larger network of programs. What about the universities purely dedicated to e-learning? I think we are confusing State universities with the international ones here.

Certain online schools deal entirely with distance education and tend to have a virtual existence as they cater to a global audience, so perhaps they keep their geography limitless. Woodbridge seems more like a global university and doesn't claim U.S accreditation, perhaps that's why it doesn't have a U.S Education Department stamp. They are offering regional accreditation in various countries through MEAC, providing accreditation for engineering programs through IACEP and for their business programs via GACBE. They also have memberships with AAACE and NAFSA, which are both internationally recognized associations.
