Don't ever give your dog anything that was prescribed for people. Without a veterinary examination you do not know if the problem is anxiety or some underlying condition causing pain. You could kill your dog by giving a large dose of something, or you could mask the pain of a serious condition that needs treatment. Also, not all human medications have similar effects on animals. If you love your dog, check with your vet.
yes it is if prescribed for your dog...my friend has his dog on xanax that is prescribed by his vet.
Sudafed and Xanax safe together
No. Alprazolam (Xanax) is very safe and cocaine is extremely dangerous drug.
Yes. You'd be safe within 4-6 hours, xanax doesn't last long. It would even be safe with the xanax if you were only having 2-3 drinks.
Absolutely!
i dont understand why a dog would ever be given xanax, as it is an anti-anxiety medication-- but if it accidentally swallowed some you should call the veterinarian and inform them of your dogs weight and how much xanax was ingested.
no
yes
Xanax is not an NSAID. Therefore NSAID allergy would not be a contraindication to using Xanax. Take Xanax only as prescribed.
Is it safe to take congentin with xannax peaches
I asked a Pharmacist and it is safe to combine a Z-Pak and the Xanax as well as Cold meds if you need them.
You would NEVER give a dog Xanax for sedation. Human medications do not mix well with dogs or any animals & can cause death. Check with your Veterinarian about what sort of sedation to give your dog that would be safe.
************( posted by someone else)Xanax is actually a prescribed medicine for dogs.As long as you have a prescription from your vet it is safe to give to your dog. If you are unsure of the dose or the current dose is not working, you should contact your vet to discuss your options. My dog is on xanax, she is 13lbs and can take up to .5mg a day.Just so everyone knows, the xanax dogs take is the exact same kind that humans take, my dog's prescription was filled at a Kroger pharmacy. It is absolutely not safe to dose your dog with your xanax though. Vets know your dogs condition and any possible reasons your dog could be harmed by ANY medicine. ALWAYS get medicine from a veterinarian for your animals, that is the only way you can know the correct dose to administer. After all we would not give our children prescription medication without discussing it with a doctor, same goes for your pets!!!!
