Yeshua is a transliteration of the Hebrew name of Jesus (or Joshua, another version of the same name), and Yahweh is a transliteration of the Tetragrammaton, or Hebrew name of God. In Hebrew, the word "Yahweh" is never pronounced as such and instead is pronounced "Adonai," which means "Lord." Thus, in English when we say "the Lord," it's a sort of translation of "Adonai"--a way of referring to God but not by his too-holy-to-speak name.

If you are a Christian, typically you would believe that Jesus is one of the three manfiestations of God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), and thus, yes, you would say that Jesus is God, or Yeshua is Yahweh, or Jesus is Lord. (Remember that "Lord" here simply means "God's name"; many times in English people misunderstand the statement Jesus is Lord to mean "Jesus is the Dominator and Ruler of the World," which isn't actually quite what is meant.)

If you are not Christian or if you are Mormon, you would likely reject that statement.

Yes in the sense that Jesus (Yeshua) is God (Yahweh).

To clarify the usage of these two words, Yeshua is the Hebrew יהושע (Yehoshua) or Hebrew-Aramaic ישוע (Yeshua), meaning "YHWH (Yahweh) rescues"; while Yahweh is an extention of the Tetragrammaton YHWH used by early Hebrew writers to signify the "unpronouncable" name of God.

The name "Jesus" is an anglicisation of the Greek Ίησους (Iēsous), itself a Hellenisation of the Hebrew Yeshua as mentioned. "Christ" is a title derived from the Greek Χριστός (Christós), meaning the "Anointed One," which corresponds to the Hebrew-derived "Messiah".

So, to summarize all this, Jesus and Yahweh are two persons in the tri-une Godhead. Yeshua does not need a God of any kind since He is Himself divine. He is Himself to be worshipped just as Yahweh is, but not as two distinct or different God's since God is one, but as one indivisible Godhead revealed as distinct persons.

Note: As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Yahweh; My spirit that is upon thee, and my wordswhich I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seeds seed, saith Yahweh, from henceforth and for ever. Isaiah 59:21

And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh; Isa 11:2

Only as holy (wholly) Spirit could "Yosef of Nazareth" speak to the designated apostles. This is because as "Father, Son and Spirit - Immanuel" they would hear the THOUGHT in their own minds and therefore believe it. They, in turn, would speak as SONS of Elohim:

And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. Jn 12:50

The Apostle John wrote, "Whosoever shall confess that Yosef is the Son of Elohim, Elohim dwelleth in him" (1Jn 4:15).

MAN IS DUST, Yahshua IS LIFE

Ge 2:7 And Yahweh Elohim formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

Ge 3:19 For dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.

Yosef, the Son of Elohim, however, is an exception to this. He didn't come into existence through the means of procreation as given to Adam and Eve. He was conceived in the womb of Mary, a virgin, by the Holy Spirit. Though His flesh body was made of the woman, Mary, the life within Him didn't come from Adam.

Jn 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man

Jn 16:27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out* from Yahweh. 28 I came forth* from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

Yosef/ Joseph was born a man 100% , 1 John 4:3

And every spirit that confesseth not that Yosef is come in the flesh is not of Elohim: and this is that spirit of Antimessiah , whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Yosef Messiah is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an Antimessiah .

Yahshua became Immanuel when the Holy Spirit descend on Him as a Dove. Immanuel - Elohim with with us. And, take a good look at that verse ,it says the Spirit of Yahweh remained on him!!!

It is Yahweh that is Yahshua who is the Savior, for its the Holy Spirit who saved us.

Failing to understand that the Yahweh send His Spirit to dwell on Yosef is a mistake.

For Yosef said its the Spirit that speaketh truth,Not I but the Father is Good.

We are told we will call him Immanuel - Elohim with us,it did not said Immanuel was his name.

Just before Yosef the Messiah died ,He cried out ABBA,Abba why have to lefted me.

Than Yosef died , but Yahshua did not ,that is Yahweh did did not die, only the man Yosef!

Answer:

No, Yahshua (Yeshua {simply meaning 'he is salvation'} an inferior form of the name tanslated as the Latino name 'Jesus') is most definitely not Father Yahweh of the so called "Old Testament". Yahshua is Father Yahweh's son whom he raised from the dead and anointed and appointed to reign as King for 1,000 years. Yahshua did not pre-exist his birth and was not a co-creator with His (and our) Father Yahweh in the beginning. Yahshua came into being by the power of Father Yahweh's set apart spirit

No, no one has ever seen God.(1 John 4:12)

"Jehovah" (Yahweh) is the Creator and was the God of the Israelites (Psalm 83:18)

(Exodus 6:3)(Isaiah 12:2)(Isaiah 26:4)

Jehovah is also Jesus' God (John 20:17)and Father(John 8:54)(John 20:17)(Ephesians 1:3) (2Corinthians1:3)

Jesus is God's son (Matthew 16:16), first BORN of God's creation(Colossians 1:15)and the 'master worker' (Proverbs 8:22-36)who God had used to help in creating all things (John 17:4&5)(1 Corinthians 8:5&6)

Jesus is also the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5&6) and an equal ransom sacrifice for the sin of Adam (Matthew 20:28)(1 John 4:10)

They are separate people entirely. (Mark 13:32)(Matthew 20:20-23)(John 7:28&29)(John 8:28&42)

No. The word Yahweh is not a Jewish term. It is associated with modern secular scholarship that is trying to find the most likely (based on probabilities) pronounciation of the Divine Name in Israelite culture. Jews argue that the correct name had been lost and that names like Yahweh are simply a modern farce. YHVH is usually how Jews will render the now-unpronounceable name of God.

Christianity holds as a theological point that Jesus must be the God of the Old Testament. To say otherwise is to commit the Marcian Heresy. However, the messages given by Jesus in the New Testament and God in the Old Testament are rather different, which would lead to the contention that they are two different personalities.

Jesus only appears in the new testament. Christian doctrine does not see him as God, but as the son of God, as stating you are God would be blasphemy and against the first commandment. Say ye of him whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world,

Thou blasphemest because I said I am the Son of God - John 10:36 Note that the word the is rendered in Italics - many people think this is for emphasis and that therefore this statement is equal to the only son of God. However, this the is actually an interjection by the translator from Greek:
ν αὴ ἡγίαεν καὶ έειλεν εἰ ὸν κμον με λέγεε ι βλαημε, ι εἶον· ἱὸ οῦ θεοῦ εἰμι; Which literally renders as:
Whom the father acknowledged and sent into the world, you do say I blaspheme because I say: son of God I am. Note that the word ἱὸ is rendered in English as the son, whereas the word really means(the nature of being a) son. The Greek form therefore does not imply exclusivity and Jesus' statement can therefore also be rendered as:
because I said I am one of the sons (children) of God. This is the interpretation taken by Gnostic Christianity, which does not regard Jesus as divine, but as a mortal spiritual leader.

During the council of Nicea in 325 AD the divinity of Jesus was debated and subsequently became the official doctrine of the Church. The gnostic interpretation thus became heresy punishable by death, and all Gnostic texts were removed from the Christian canon.

ANSWER

Jesus does appear in the Old Testament,

(1) In the New Testament Christ created everything:-

John 1:1-3, 14 KJV

(v.1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

(v.2) The same was in the beginning with God.

(v.3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

(v.14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, ...

Ephesians 3:9 MKJV

(v.9) and to bring to light what is the fellowship of the mystery which from eternity has been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ;

Colossians 1:14, 16 KJV

(v.14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

(v.16) For by him [Christ] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Hebrews 1:2 KJV

(v.2) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

(2) In the Old Testament the Lord God of Israel created everything:-

Genesis 1:1 MKJV

(v.1) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Isaiah 40:28 MKJV

(v.28) Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow weak nor weary? There is no searching of His understanding.

Isaiah 41:20 MKJV

(v.20) so that they may see, and know, and look on, and understand together, that the hand of Jehovah has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Isaiah 45:7 MKJV

(v.7) forming the light and creating darkness; making peace and creating evil. I Jehovah do all these things.

Amos 4:12-13 MKJV

(v.12) So I will do this to you, O Israel; because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.

(v.13) For lo, He forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what his thought is.He who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the high places of the earth; Jehovah, the God of Hosts, isHis name.

Thus, there are either 2 separate beings who created everything, which is clearly impossible, or else Christ is the Lord God of Israel!

(3) The Lord God of Israel in the Old Testament is described as a 'Rock' :-

Deuteronomy 32:3-4 MKJV

(v.3) because I will proclaim the name of Jehovah, ascribe greatness to our God.

(v.4) He is the Rock; His work is perfect. For all His ways are just, a God of faithfulness, and without evil; just and upright is He.

Deuteronomy 32:15-18 MKJV

(v.15) But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked. You grew fat, thick, andsatisfied. Then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

(v.18) You forgot the Rock who brought you forth, and ceased to care for God who formed you.

Psalms 18:31 MKJV

(v.31) For who is God besides Jehovah? Or, who is a Rock except our God?

Psalms 62:2 MKJV

(v.2) He only [God] is my rock and my salvation; He is my tower; I shall not be greatly moved.

Psalms 78:5 MKJV

(v.5) For He [Jehovah] set up a testimony in Jacob, and ordered a Law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their sons;

(4) The New Testament explains that Christ is the 'Rock' of the Old Testament:-

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 MKJV

(v.1) And, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the [Red] sea.

(v.2) And all were baptized to Moses in the cloud and in the [Red] sea,

(v.3) and all ate the same spiritual food[manna],

(v.4) and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of the spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

(5) 'Doubting Thomas' left us in no doubt that Jesus and the God of the Old Testament God were the same,

John 20:28 KJV

(v.28) And [Doubting] Thomas answered and said unto him [the resurrected Jesus Christ],My Lord and my God.

Note that Jesus did not contradict him.

Yes Jesus is the God of the Old Testament.
