It is very difficult to answer this question, because the religious practices of celebrities tend to be private, unless the person him or herself makes them public. Zayn was raised Muslim, and I am sure he loves and respects his heritage. But there is not much evidence that he is very religious. Most Pop Music stars travel all the time and it is difficult to be a rock star and also follow a traditional religious observance. Fasting every day during Ramadan, while not impossible, might be a challenge, given the demands of touring and performing. That said, if he is fasting, that is admirable. But if not, there are some not-very-religious Muslims who will fast on the first day and the last day, and the rest of the month, they will try to limit what they eat.
