This is my own additional information to add to this question. I want to explain myself, first of all. Yahoo Answers allows for the extra info (whether or not it's just useless banter to some), but I get an error upon posting. So, I feel as though, while 1500 is about average, 1750 is really not the greatest score. I hear many people boasting a bit over 2000, and the majority of people I have indirectly heard from about SAT scores have deemed scores similar to my own as petty. Is a 1750 lackluster when considering the big picture here? I'm not looking at average vs. above average, rather "he's smart" vs. "he's not too smart." To be honest, I feel a bit sensitive over my score - it makes me feel as though I don't have the mental capacity for such tests. The factors I've considered are that I'm generally not the best at said tests (even though I am capable of bringing home great scores on several high school tests), and I'm on extra time... meaning that I sit in a chair for about 5-6 hours, rather than for the normal time. While I get more time to think, I also get more time to wear myself out both physically and mentally. I'm also sure that I might not have been as well-rested as I would have wanted to be. However, I'm not feeling too confident in what my scores would have been, even if I had been 100% mentally ready for this test. My lowest was math - somewhere around average or a little bit above, but nothing obscenely great. I do have great foundations in math by now, but it's still a bit of a struggle - especially while I am pressed for time and given material that doesn't represent what I'm currently learning in class. Otherwise, I consider myself to be of decently high intellect, and I receive straight A's under most circumstances. Am I just not the greatest test-taker out there? I just feel as though I don't function well with certain kinds of tests. It's not always the content, but more of how the test is structured. Other than math being average, the rest of my scores and abilities were okay - mostly my abilities. I consider myself to be a strong writer, and I reason soundly and feel I excel in independent thought. What gives, then?
