A classic car is an older car; the exact meaning is variable. The Classic Car Club of America maintains that a car must be between 20 and 45 years old to be a classic, while cars over 45 years fall into the Antique Class.

The 1968 and 1967 Cadillac Deville series has a long, artistic swoop in the side panels, giving them an attractive appearance and a sense of tremendous length. 1968 was the last year of the stacked. forward-leaning headlights and the first year of a new and ultimately popular engine, the 472/500 series.

1968 was the second year of the front-wheel drive Eldorado. Very similar to the 67, the 68 would be a favorite for it's status as an early and unique front-wheel drive personal luxury car.

So in summary, both models in 1968 had desirable and unique features, and it meets an agreed-upon definition for the age of the car. It would be considered a classic in many peoples' minds.
