No.
The standard transmission in a 1969 Chevelle is a 3 speed manual. A 2 speed automatic, 3 speed automatic, and 4 speed manual were optional.
Yes... Sort of anyway. The Monte Carlo uses a 4 door Chevelle frame even though the Monte Carlo is a 2 door car. The 4 door frame is longer than the 2 door Chevelle frame. and the wheelbase is 4 inches longer. So if you have a Monte Carlo, a 4 door Chevelle frame will work. If you have a 4 door Chevelle, a Monte Carlo frame will work. If you have a 2 door Chevelle, then you will need to use a frame from ANY 2 door GM A body except for the Monte Carlo.... The Tempest/Lemans/GTO, Cutlass, Skylark, and Chevelle all used the same frames and are completely interchangeable.
measure the two wheelbases to find out, if they match then yes, if no you can extend or shorten the frame. 1964 Chevelle, 2 door or 4 door, hardtop or sedan frames interchange. Convertible will fit but the 2 door or 4 door, hardtop or sedan will not fit the convertible.
yes.
They are getting nearly impossible to find at junkyards these days. However, you can buy all of it aftermarket. Actually, EVERY single part of the 1970 Chevelle 2 door coupe is available through the aftermarket since they started reproducing the body shells. You can use the frame and suspension from ANY 2 door 1968-1972 GM A body (Chevelle, Skylark, Cutlass, Tempest/Lemans/GTO) but you will likely have to change to 1970-1972 Chevelle specific suspension springs if you use one from one of the other GM A-bodies.
The 2 speed Powerglide was the only automatic trans available for the Chevelle in 1965.
Well, the sport coupe was a 2 door hardtop rather than a 2 door post or 4 door sedan. The Malibu 2 door hardtop is considered to be a sports coupe. While ALL 1970 Chevelle Super Sport's are Malibu's, most Malibu's were not Super Sport's.
2 places, on the front door pillar and on the firewall.
It all depends on the condition of the car, the engine and if it's a 2 or 4 door.
just a different roof line.
No, it will not. NONE of the body panels will interchange. The Monte Carlo was a 2 door body fitted to a 4 door Chevelle frame. The doors and hood are considerably longer and have VERY different body lines.
