first off. if that's your question.. just leave it alone. the 350 is a SMALL BLOCK. yes a SBC will fit in the compartment of an 89 z24. i have a 350 in my 90. but if you don't know the answer already, you will never be able to swap a narrowed Ford 9" *best choice* in the rear, or build the tranny tunnel, or the motor mounts, or reinforce it to handle that kinda power, considering its a unibody car. or even doing the front end. just give up.. NOW.

It depends on what engine you have as to how many you have but they are in the sides and rear of the block.

The oil sending unit on a 1995 Cavalier is on the passenger side of the engine. It is close to the oil filter, screwed into the block.
Its on the passanger side of the engine under a black cover.. its is between the belts and pullys and the engine block.
Depends on WHICH Cavalier, if you're talking about the 2.4L engine, it's on the front of the block, very easy to see and get to from under the car.
The purge valve solenoid on your 2001 Chevy Cavalier is located on the side of the engine. It is mounted on the block right below the intake manifold and can be distinguished because of the bracket attached to it.

Follow the top radiator hose back to the engine block. The thermostat is inside the housing where the radiator hose connects to the block.
It's located in the front or side of the engine. It will unplug and then just plug another one in.
