The 2000 Grand Prix GTX is an upgraded package installed by SLP. It is the same as a GTP, but has some additional mods which increases hp to roughly 260. These mods include: functional ram air hood, stainless steel performance dual exhaust system and 17-inch tires and wheels. With this package, the Grand Prix looks more muscular and is slightly faster with a 0-60 time of around 6.7 seconds. The 2000 Grand Prix GTX is an upgraded package installed by SLP. Yes
A grand prix gt un-supercharged will smoke a grand am gt, the supercharged gtp grand prix will destroy it.
If each the Grand Am has a 3.4L V6 and the Grand Prix has either the 3.1L V6 or non-supercharged 3.8L V6 I believe they do. That transmission is a Hydra-matic 4T60E.
No
Yes, it requires transmission, engine wiring harness and computer from donor car.

The Aurora is faster. I have one myself. It has 50 more horses then a Grand Prix GT, and it is also faster then the supercharged Grand Prix GTP. Not much faster, but it is.
In my opinion, it isn't worth purchasing a car that has 189,000 miles. I would avoid buying a sporty vehicle like a supercharged 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 3800 as a first car.
no it will not. also the differential is hardened in the gtp supercharged engines but it will not even bolt up. if it were a gt and a gtp then it would fit, but you would need to change the differential to the gtp hd diff
I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Comp G Supercharged, and it reccommends premium gas, but it does fine without it.
no it will not. most grand prix have 3.8l v6 while most luminas have 3.1lv6. the only lumina that has 3.8 is the ltz model. Also most of the 3.8lv6 found in grand prix are supercharged but if it wasn't from the factory then it wont be compatible
