With the 4.10 you get low end torque. With the 3.08 you get more top end spend.
i have a 92 silverado 1500. put 410 gear in and took out stock 308 gear. yours is probaly the same if you have 350 engine and 700 trans.
Yes, whether you are replacing the whole rear-end or just the center diff they are interchangable. Just be sure the gear ratio is the same if it is a 4wd, if it is a 2wd can be any gear ratio. Higher for better gas milage such as 330 or 355, lower 373 or 410 for pulling power hope this helps.
410 is, indeed, a decimal number.
High gear ratios, 273,373,340 Low ratios, any thing starting with the #4 and up is a low gear ratio. 410 411 456 488 556 and up.
308/12 There's more: 410/22 LR 410/22 WMR 12/223 Rem 12/308 Win 12/30-06 Sprg
It will affect the speedometer but the tachometer will still be accurate.
The quickest way is to jack up the rear of the car or truck and turn the rear wheel 1 complete turn and see how many revolutions your pinion yoke turns. if it makes thee revolutions and a little over it could be a 308 four turns and a little over would be a 410 ect..
The 373 is a lower ratio than the 410.
aisi is better
THE ANSWER IS 40 BECAUSE IF YOU MULTIPLY THEM BY 10x4 AND IT WILL EQUAL 40
410 is better
Because 411 is more than 410
