I feel like the correct question would be "is a pet hamster ready for a 9 year old?"
A hamster is usually a good first pet.
probley a germen shepherd they are pretective and NOT a pit bull
A 9 year old would likely do really well with a fish for a pet. It is also likely that a 9 year old would enjoy a hamster, small mouse, or even a guinea pig.
Hamster, guinea pig, frog, lizard, .....
probably not cause they are really big birdds and if they got out of their cage the might hurt the eleven year old if the eleven year old opened the cage so no a budgie is not a really good pet fo r a eleven yaer old i would probably recomind a rabbit or a hamster something small for a eleven year old cause it would be a smaller pet for the elevn year old
ask the pet store you got it from or a vet
A good pet for an eight year old would probably be a hamster or a gerbil, as they are very easy to take care of. Just help them clean the cage out, as hamsters and gerbils are very fragile and even a small trace of detergent or disinfectant could kill your pet.
a guinea pig they are more fun to play with for this age and live longer
A Dog - A Gold Retriever usually, nothing small. A hamster - something small that they can control NOT a cat
Well, I have a black bear hamster and i got him when i was 10. So, I think that a black bear hamster would be appropriate for a 9 year old. But, it depends if he/she is a caring person or not. If you think he/she is rough and uncaring, then probably getting him a hamster Isn't a very good idea. Anyway, a black bear hamster would be appropriate for he/she because they are very friendly and caring. Have a nice day! :)
When you feel comfortable, you can own another pet. Try different pets! Try owning a domestic rat or mouse! They LOVE attention! Also, adopt any animals!Sorry about your hamster. My hamster died from old age a couple days ago. He died on February 18, 2011.:-E
Yes it is the are really good and good for 11year old there GREAAAAAT!
