Is a ASVAB score of 79 good?
It's good yeah. You scored higher than 79% of the people that took the test. You should be good to get into almost any job.
A good ASVAB score would be 65-80 and a great score would be 85-90(out of 99)
no..that is a terrible score.
88 is a good score. The highest score is 99. Lowest 32.
That is very low so no...get the book asvab for dummies I have one right in front of me good look
A score of 32 is the lowest score for the ASVAB test.
The ASVAB score itself is not what is under review. The GT score determined within the ASVAB score needs to be 110 or greater.
I can. You probably can't.
it is not our job to say whether or not a person is stupid. but statistically, a 14 is not a very good score for the ASVAB test.
Theres specific Line Scores, just try and answer the questions correctly to get a good score.
You are required to meet a minimum of 32 points on your ASVAB AFQT score.
you need to score 31(AFQT) on your asvab test.
Becoming an E4 is not based on your ASVAB score. If you are talking about enlisting as an E4, you must have a Bachelor's degree. You can also become an E4 by enlisting and doing a good job and putting your time in.
its about 33/99 from being perfect, your alright with that score though. Should be able to get most jobs.
You can only score a 99% on the asvab.. To get a 124 would be impossible.
yes and a good asvab score
The highest score you can get on the ASVAB is a 99
It is a good score. But alot of factors can make it more or less dramatic. The ASVAB test scores the test differently if you are a female or male. With an 82, you make it to the II category. Almost I but not quite! ;) I made an 82 also and im a girl in high school 11th grade so compare it to me and see how you think you did! But it is… Read More
There is not a way to calculate the Air Force ASVAB score. You will have to take the test and turn it in so it can be scored.
An ASVAB score of 50.
No. That's barely gets you into the military...You need a 50 to get the military benefits...I got 71...But its the Line Scores that really counts...If you plan on enlisting (which is really the only thing the ASVAB is used for) then talk with your recruiter and ask what kind of career you could do...But that score will get you into the military...
50 and higher are acceptable. 75 means you scored in the top 25% of your group. That score will allow you to get into many occupational specialties.
yes it is relatively good. a 31 is required and the national average is 41. so really its above average
The Minimum score for the navy is a 35.
Its fair but, it really depends what branch you're applying for. The lowest excepted scores are with the Army.
What do you have to score to join the national gaurds
it is called the afqt score and it tells you if you qualify to get into certain branches
Your ASVAB score is actually your AFQT score which is made up of a weighted average of your scores on the following ASVAB subtests: * Word Knowledge * Paragraph Comprehension * Arithmetic Reasoning * Mathematics Knowledge Depending on the branch of the military you're enlisting in you'll also have a series of line scores that will qualify you for particular jobs within that service branch. ASVAB/AFQT score gets you in and line scores qualify you… Read More
Yes a 97 is an amazing score! I scored a 93 AFQT ( basically fancy language for your overall score). And I have been told by numerous recruiters I have pick of jobs. So you do too
Yes. Your ASVAB score is good for 2 years, after that you must retake it to join the military. You must wait 1 month to take the asvab the second time, 1 month after the second time, then 6 months after the second time.
Your ASVAB score (actually your AFQT score) is made up of your scores on four of the ASVAB's subtests then ranked among all the other applicants who have taken the test. This makes it almost impossible to determine how many right answers are necessary on each subtest for a specific score. Also, you don't pass or fail the ASVAB you only achieve a certain score. That score is then used to determine if you qualify… Read More
That is the score I received. Yes it is a very good score, though that score is not what matters. It's the individual line scores (AO, VE, etc.) that determine what ratings you can receive in the Armed Forces. But being that you got an 85 overall score, that means about 95% of the available jobs are open to you.
This is the breakdown of the ASVAB scores: They also differ with regard to minimum AFQT scores. * The minimum AFQT score for U.S. Air Force recruits is 36. * The minimum AFQT score for U.S. Army recruits is 31. * The minimum AFQT score for U.S. Marines Corp recruits is 32. * The minimum AFQT score for U.S. Coast Guard recruits is 40. * The minimum AFQT score for U.S. Navy recruits is 35.
To enlist in the active Army you'll need a minimum of 31 on the ASVAB. as far as i know you need a minimum of 50 on the ASVAB to enlist in to the army.
GT (General Technical) score of 31.
It depends on what job you are looking to join and the type of score it requires in different areas of the asvab. BAR NONE it is the special forces. SF does NOT have the highest asvab requirement most of them require in the 40-55 range. for the USAF most of the higher asvab required jobs are of electronics backgrounds
There is no overall "ASVAB Score." When you hear someone saying "I got an 80 on my ASVAB," they are talking about their AFQT (Armed Forces Qualifying Test) score, not an "overall" ASVAB Score. The AFQT is important. It determines whether or not you can join the military. The AFQT score is not derived from all portions of the ASVAB. Indeed, the AFQT score is determined from only four areas of the ASVAB: Word Knowledge… Read More
You can get into the navy and be a seamen
go to a recruiter
35 as of 2012.
Not necessarily.. Completing the ASVAB is part of the enlisting process at your given MEPS
study your butt off use the pre test on military.com and get asvab for dummies it helps alot
No. You can't fail the asvab. a score of 51 means you got more correct answers than 51% of the people that took the test. You should be able to join any branch with a score of 51
It means you scored higher than 42% of your peers and 58% scored higher than you. In other word's it's a little below average. If you still can pick up a couple ASVAB study guides and take the test at a later date. A higher score will give you more options.
There is not a pass or fail score, but individuals will need to obtain at least a 31.
The formula to derive the AFQT "raw Score" is 2VE + AR (Arithmetic Reasoning) + MK (Mathematics Knowledge). This formula results in the AFQT "raw score," which is then converted into a percentile score. [cited from ABCs of the ASVAB. pg 3. by Rod Powers About.com]
If you took it at MEPS ask your recruiter.
Go to your education center and sign up for the FAST Class.
You have to take the asvab test first and the score is 31 or over.
Your ASVAB score is based on a percentile, meaning that the average would be right in the middle, so around 50. Also, this means that the highest score a person can get is 99. The minimum score you can get to enter the service depends on the branch, but it ranges from 31-36. As long as you score above that, you are eligible for entrance although your job options will be more limited with a… Read More
