Not true.
BMW M3 and other models from the 2006 model year are seen as reliable. Consumer Reports, Edmunds, and other independent reviewers give them high marks for reliability and durability. Since BMW is known as a sports car brand, their mileage, while still good at an average 22-25 miles per gallon is not as good as economy brands such as Kia.
I have a 530 that currently has 84000 miles on it...I know many people, that have put over 200,000 miles on the 5 series with no issues....Bmw is a great car and if taken care of will last for well over 300,000 miles....I plan on keeping mine for many years to come and the miles are just a number for a BMW....Take care of it change the oil (only use synthetic) and it will run far past any other car...
