Best Answer

Residential Door chimes run on A/C power. The power however is usually ruduced through a Transformer, from standard 120v down to usually anywhere from 12-16v A/C. Typically purchased as a package w/ chime, door button and transformer, but individual componants are also available for replacement purposes.

What are the applications of rectifiers in use?

A bridge rectifier, is a group of rectifiers (4 in a single phase) wired so that each half of an AC current is passed to respective positive and negative lines of a DC output. It provides full wave rectification of AC into DC.

Is IC555 is an ac device or dc device?

it is DC powered, but can generate sawtooth or triangular wave AC if wired up properly. it cannot generate sine wave AC, although with an opamp wave shaping circuit the triangular AC waveform can be reshaped to a rough approximation of a sine wave.

How do you install a doorbell?

To install a doorbell, you will first have to turn off the power to the doorbell. Pull the doorbell unit away from the wall. Disconnect the wires that hold the door bell in place. You will then have to determine whether you want a wired doorbell or wireless. If you are using wireless tuck the wires back into the wall and place the wireless doorbell in place. For a hard wired doorbell, attach the wires to the door bell, push the excess wires into the wall and attach the doorbell to the wall.

Is there any possibilty of ac and DC flows in conductor at a time and get DC and AC with two reference AC and DC?

A typical AC waveform is symmetrical about a zero crossing point. You can bias the AC with DC such that the AC waveform is symmetrical about the DC voltage.

What is the difference between ac and dc grounding?
