The (Ford) Mondeo has no meaning to it whatsoever. Ford made the word up and it was used as it sounded good and was easy on the tongue
Sell the Mondeo and buy something nicer with a good alternator.
lighter fuse can be found by removing passenger side glove box, you will find a panel in there with around 20 fuses and a good few relays, i had to phone ford after checking box in engine only to find out there is another panel behind glove box
Either - although surely the best option is to visit an authorised dealer and have it professionally installed. I've been looking to buy one of these, have you found a good cheap source as to where they can be purchased from? My local dealer wants £449 fitted.

One can find the best deals for Ford Mondeo Estate Cars by looking at places who specialize in selling them. The classified ad section in your local newspaper could give you some good leads on where you could find a good deal on one.

Car dealerships often will sell these vehicles, just make sure to check under the hood for the Zetec engine. There are many reviews on the Zetec engine, however, some of them aren't good. Make sure to look very hard into a vehicle purchase before committing.

I get about 45-50 miles tops in mine. 2001 zetec. Not over good Im not sure how goodbad that is.
Kept happening on my own Mondeo. In the end removed the horn in the boot. Later found out it was the bonnet switch. Either replace it or give it a good going over with WD40. Worth a try.
Although the Ford Mondeo generally garners good safety reviews these days, there have been problems in past models concerning the braking system that extend back to 1993, precipitating a number of recalls related to this as well as to some other issues. If one is buying a used Mondeo, one should make sure that the car has been adequately serviced to correct the particular problem that car was recalled for.
