the short answer is yes... dont have to read all this...ve small maples that have grown from them, one is now about 2 ft. and well branched, I just let them grow wherever they pop up for a few years then transplant. I don't have luck putting the seed in a pot but I keep trying. My original trees are about 30 years old. I have also layered but this must be done when there are branches close to the ground.
