If you are getting a labrador while it is still a puppy, then yes the dog will usually get along with the cat since they will have grown up together. and it also depends if the cat is used to dogs, if not the cat may run from the dog or attack when the dog is near it and they will not get along.
My labrador gets along fine with cats, it the cats that don't particularly like my labrador.
