Presuming you mean the Consolidated B-24 WWII bomber, then it was known as Liberator.

The Canberra had many variants and while in RAF and USAF it was a bomber. photo-recce or EW aircraft. However it may have been used as a fighter bomber by some of the smaller airforces who used it. It could carry gunpacks.
