Yes, Boxers are a breed of Dog. They are usually a shade of brown, red, white or brindle with white markings. They are of medium to large size and often suffer from rheumatism and seizures caused by epilepsy - however responsible breeders will never mate dogs with either of these conditions so if you want a Boxer puppy, buy from a responsible breeder. They are docked and cropped for exhibition in parts of America and Canada, although they are shown naturally in countries where these operations are banned. They are gentle and excellent with kids in general, but can be quite boisterous. Boxers are relatively common in most countries and can be taught simple obedience and guarding. They have a short coat and deep chests, with a short muzzle and an intelligent expression. I myself have never owned a Boxer, but have known several that were all friendly and reliable dogs.
