No, in fact catabolic pathways are spontaneous, since they undergo exogonic reaction (breaking of polymers into monomer) and release heat. Anabolic pathways are the opposite as the require energy in order to build monomers into polymers and undergo endogonic reactions, hence are non-spontaneous.
