Not exactly Malaysian Citizen, but the fact the child is born in Malaysia, only that both parents are foreigner legally, by Law the child must be given a Permanent Residence. The reason is the child, cannot be registered to his or her own country of origin by his parents, the child become an Alien. He or she will remain the birth certificate with Malaysian Birth certificate and cannot be change, it is forever. Citizenship could be acquired, It depends on the child perspective when he or she is matured enough. Yes, I understand that Malaysia won't allow any Dual Citizenship. but giving a Permanent resident Visa is 5 years, it doesn't mean CITIZENSHIP, it has a big difference Citizenship and Permanent Resident Visa. But I wonder? I know some people they are not born in Malaysia but the Malaysian government. approved Permanent Resident Visa? for them, and yet, they are also foreigners claiming that they have stayed in Malaysia for a very long time. I am not talking about Malaysia Second home. I just want to express the confusion in this kind of situation.
Thank you, I hope and pray, Malaysiaa gov't. will check on this matter.
