foxes eat rabbits and cows
Yes, William Henry Harrison was known to have a favorite food. He had a particular fondness for a type of dish called "cow heel soup" or "pepper pot soup."

Foxes purr. they also bark (high pitch). I had a couple to rehab, then return to wild. They came from a vixen that was killed. When they were happy, or more accurately content (favorite food, relaxing on a full belly) they purred... rather loudly in fact. They were never really "tame", but they relied on me for food for a while. Favorite food, hate to admit it, but they actually do go nuts for chicken. I only have experience with Grey Foxes, don't know about reds.
One of the Arctic Foxes' main sources of food is the Lemming. When there are abundant lemmings the Fox has food to raise large litters and the population of Foxes increases. Similarly the numbers of Foxes that can be fed decreases when the lemming population declines because there is less food for the Foxes. Basically the population of any animal is controlled by its food supply.

Foxes eat small rodents, like mice and rats, and rabbits. They also eat bird eggs and berries, so that makes them omnivores.
Because Kit Foxes do not need to drink anything. Some of Kit Foxes food will not have very much liquid in it to keep them hydrated therefore hey will urinate on their food to get enough liquid into their system.
From the food they eat.
