Detox diets are used for two main reasons, certain people use them to clean their bodies from certain metals and food that does not help them be healthy. But other people use them to loose weight. But no matter what the reason detox diets are used for, they are not healthy for people of any age. These are very extreme diets, and people that were healthy before doing this diet have fallen ill. Some of the side effects people have had are falling into comma, water intoxication, and hyponatremia.
