no. the exhaust manifold is just the tubes coming off block or heads. the catalytic converter should be a separate piece that connects to the exhaust manifold that burns the unburned fuel to keep it from releasing those fumes into the air.
The Cooper and Cooper S have different exhaust outlets. It is not possible to use an S exhaust on a Cooper without modification to the spare tire carrier (if the car has one) and the rear bumper.
Do you have a check engine light on? COuld be a Solenoid that determines boost for the Turbo (if equipped), clogged fuel filter, clogged Catalytic converter, dirty air filter
You don't mention a year but... In the 02-06 Hardtops and 04-07 Convertibles there are two O2 sensors. Both are located in the exhaust header with the first located before the cat. converter and the second just after the cat. converter. Hope that helps, Nathan http://www.motoringalliance.com The MINI Enthusiasts home on the web
The electronic control module or unit on a 2003 Mini Cooper is located under the hood. It is on the rear of the intake manifold.

I have a 2007 MINI and my check engine light has been coming on and going off since I bought it. I've had the car for 2 years and now have 18,000 miles. The car was recalled to have the catalytic converter replaced and the check engine light still comes on. It will stay on for days and then go off for days. I thought replacing the catalytic converter would take care of the problem but it obviously didn't. The tech at MINI told me that the best gas is Shell and that other gas could cause this to happen. I don't think that's a good enough answer. I'll be bringing my car back for service because of this continuing issue.
Some mini Cooper accessories available on the market are mirror covers, floor mats, body kits, running boards, air intakes, head lights, wing spoiler, exhaust systems
it's on the intake manifold, at the right hand side as you stand in front of the engine. If you still have the plastic radiator shroud (stock) then it hides access to the sensor
Xaiver Cooper is John and Korey Cooper's son.

A cooper = un tonnelier. The cooper = le tonnelier.
