YES, if it's the stock c5 pan. The stock c5 pan has a hump in the middle of the pan for the transmission oil pickup, that is the only difference.
However if it is changing or switching pans you are doing, there is some wiggle room. Since the c5 pan has the hump and the c4 pan is flat, you can put a c5 pan on a c4 trans. but you can't put a STOCK c4 pan on a c5 trans.
Why did I emphasize stock? because if you can get a deep enough aftermarket c4 pan think it has to be deeper than 4 inches) it will clear the c5's oil pickup. So in other words if you get a deep enough c4 pan (deeper that 4 in. I think...) it will fit on a c5.
no plug on trans pan----u have to drop the pan
Inside the transmission pan. you have to remove the trans pan and they should be located there.
All you can do in your driveway is drop the trans pan, replace the trans filter, replace the trans pan gasket, install pan (no gasket sealer needed or required!) and refill what fluid drained out in the process which is aprox half of the fluid the trans holds. Take it to a trans shop if you want a complete fluid change. They will have the equipment to do a trans flush.

This is the dipstick plug that is inserted prior to assembly, when the dipstick tube is inserted the plug gets pushed out and sits in the pan until next service. This is on a Ford trans - don't know what GM or Chrysler do.
If it has an automatic trans there i sn't a drain plug you have to remove the pan to drain the fluid.
