not at all. that will cause engine damage. gasoline burns at a much lower temperature than diesel fuel so you will get pre ignition. diesel fuel has more useable power in than gasoline. gasoline is rated in octane and diesel fuel is rated in cetane. with diesel fuel the higher the cetane the faster the fuel will burn for a more complete combustion. so if you want more power from a diesel a place to start is a higher cetane diesel fuel. but things like bigger trubos, vgt turbos, injectors, intercoolers have a much bigger effect on power than fuel
diesel power plant
The power of the engine of the peugeot 404 diesel 1965 is 67 hp
total power produced engine is called indicated power.
Re-build your diesel. Put on a custom chip and that will make up for engine power loss.
In diesel engine fuel to power ratio is 1:50
A diesel locomotive is actually a hybrid engine. The diesel engine generates electricity, which is transferred from a motor to the wheels.
You will need to have some information ready. It is good to know the horsepower and the torque of your diesel engine.
It will result in a too rich air-fuel mixture causing the engine to lose power, put out a lot of black smoke & eventually quit running.
Tighten it up!
A diesel engine fires from compression and not from a spark. A diesel engine is also built much stronger than a gasoline engine. Diesel engines normally have less horsepower than a gasoline engine but have much more torc, or pulling power.
The power of the engine and the maximum speed of the 1976 Fiat van Diesel are 113 hp and 95 mph respectively.
The name diesel is as real as it gets. It's named after Rudolph Diesel, a German engineer who designed the diesel engine, to which the term diesel refers. The fuel used to power these engines is a form of petroleum, called diesel after the engine.
