Definetly a desktop. Most desktops nowadays come with a PCI-16X or PCI-Express slot in the mother board for video cards. And you can install any type of graphics card you want. Most desktops also come with a gaming graphics card, and if you dont like what you have, you can simply remove it and buy the one you want, or upgrade it. But in a laptop you are restricted to what you have inside you box.

I am not entirely sure, but I do know that laptops don't normally play games very well, They do not have as big a memory as a desktop pcs, i have tried to play games on my laptop and have been unsucessful, but my laptop is 10 years old.
