What is first person in literary terms?
The first person is a perspective in a story. It is the perspective of a character that participates in the events of the story, usually the main character, but not always. Sherlock Holmes for example has his adventures related by his sidekick Doctor Watson. In literary terms first person is told through "I" words. "As I walked through the woods I saw her." "She was beautiful to me. I loved her at once."
