A meteor hitting the moon would affect life on Earth in a good way. By omission, the collision with the moon means the meteor doesn't get to strike the Earth --- and that is a very good thing.
Nope. Meteors do not hit the earth. Also called shooting stars, falling stars or meteoroids, meteors are debris which are considered to be part of the Solar System. Once the meteor reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, it is called a meteor, but if it survives the impact and hits the ground, it is already called a meteorite. So only meteorites hit the earth- and no, we are not going to be destroyed by a giant meteorite tomorrow, and yes, you still have to go to school on Monday- so go finish your homework.
no Jupiter's moons stop that from happening
no one is sure.
but it is possible that 1 could hit the earth because 1 has hit earth before. ( the one that wiped out the dinosaurs)
no the earth will be here as long as the sun will be here and the sun will be here forever. If you would like to ask me questions regarding this just go ahead

All the time, but the highest concentration of junk occures when we pass through the path of a comet. The big shows are called meteor showers and happen every year. Some of the better-known meteor showers and their approximate dates are: Lyrids, Apr. 21; Perseids, Aug. 12; Orionids, Oct. 20; Taurids, Nov. 4; Leonids, Nov. 16; Geminids, Dec. 13.
