Is a nine-year-old daughter too young to wear pantyhose if you think tights look awful on her?

i am 15 years old. when i was 9 ..and 12 i always wanted to look semi good i didnt care as much when i was 9 tho. you can let her wear pantyhose for special occasions only and let her know that. if she is wearing a skirt maybe you could get her a pair of leggings that come halfway up the calf. that is in style these days. i agree many children think looking older will make them look better, but it really doesnt. and to the 12 year olds, you are most likely comparing to how u feel now. there is a lot of physical and emotional differences in 9- 12 year olds Jennifer She'd have to be really mature in your opinion, and only for special occasions (wedding, family reunion, special night out, etc). Does she really like wearing dresses a lot? I personally think 9 is too young and girls that age should wear tights but that's my opinion. Its your decision if you think she's too young for them. Some young girls now wear pantyhose to make them feel older or to dress up or to keep warm or look nice. They do sell hose for young girls so maybe if she likes to wear them then let her. I've heard some girls complain that tights are too itchy to wear as compaired to hose cause of the material. So parents let the girls wear hose over tights, but if you feel she's too young then let her when she's older,but I'd suggest talking to her about it and see if she likes the feel of pantyhose over tights.
