A pickle is a cucumber. A cucumber can be a fruit or a vegetable. The discussion over which are fruits and which are vegetables will never end. It all depends on who you ask. no one would argue that an apple is a fruit but what about a tomato? Officially it is a fruit. I've seen definitions of cucumbers saying fruit or vegetable.
