Procharger is a supercharger. It is a brand of centrifugal superchargers.
Procharger makes supercharger systems for cars, often used in professional racing. Procharger systems can be purchased or ordered through auto body shops or Procharger's own website.
i use superchargers4less.com get a procharger setup
Vortech and Procharger make a kit for SS models v8.
Depends on the supercharger, procharger and B&M have their own oils(self contained units). others use pressurized oil feed from the engine.
I think your question is which has more power roots supercharger or a centifugal supercharger. Both are superchargers. A roots type will have the same boost from 1000 rpm and up, the procharger gains boost with rpm so it won't have full boost till over 4000 rpm. both have a purpose. A turbocharger is superior to both. A roots and a procharger both use engine horsepower to turn, a turbocharger uses waste heat and the exhaust velocity to operate. the roots is better for lowend performance, the procharger is best for upper rpm performance. the turbocharger is more complicated but it beats both hands down when setup right with a innercooler.
On a centrifugal supercharger(Paxton, vortech, procharger-yes. On a whipple /eaton- no because they are located between the throttle body and engine, BOV only work when the throttle body is between the supercharger and engine.
ProCharger was created in 1993.
Don't know what vehicle you have or where you are. I would contact/email pro charger and they would let you know. Any dyno shop should be able to tune it.
no such thing as a cheap supercharger, expect to pay about $3,000.
You don't have to replace the supercharger you will just have no performence power and bad gas milage, but you will not harm the supercharger. Same thing happen to me, year later I replaced my supercharger belt and supercharger was fine.....dont wait get it fixed dont hurt the GTP!!!!!
When u change the oil in the car it automatically feeds it to the supercharger. i wondered the same thing so i asked a Buick specialist and that's what they told me
