As long as you have a source of protein and take vitamins to make up for any nutrients you may be missing, a raw food diet is very nutritional. You will lower your fat, calories, cholesterol, salt, and all those additives that processed food contains, and you won't lose the nutrients from the vegetables from cooking them.

Many people have lost weight on the raw food plan. It would only make sense that you would lose the weight because of the added fats and calories you will not be ingesting as in processed or cooked foods.

Yes it is a good way to lose weight because most of the time meats are high in fat as well as high in protein. But vegan foods are usually more lean and less in carbs and fat.
