no. salvaged titled autos may be used for parts or rebuilding. junked titled autos may only be used for parts.
Assuming it's reconstructed/roadworthy, take 40% off the value of a comparable clean titled car.
If I am interpreting your question correctly, the answer is yes. The salvage car needs to be rebuilt to the same standards it had when it was on the road. All parts bought and installed have to be accounted for and have receipts for. It then needs to pass your local inspection before it can be titled with a re-constructed title.
I asked my most reliable auto salvage yard guy that same question and he said they are NOT interchangeable.
I would be 1 dozen doughnuts that the radios are interchangeable.Check a local auto salvage/junk yard for a definitive yes/no.
The same way it is for a clear title, the adjuster will look at what similar cars with a similar amount of damage have sold for as salvage in the area. A salvage vehicle that's been restored to roadworthiness is roughly worth 40% less than a comparable clean titled car. That should give you some idea of where to start. Go to nada.com to determine the car's value.
There are many ways to get auto parts. One of them is to shop online with ebay. You can get just about any part you want. They are reasonable. Another way is to go to the auto salvage. If you take the part off yourself you can usually get a deal. The last way is to go to the Dealer or Parts Outlet. The dealer is usually the highest when it comes to cost. If you can get the same part at an auto parts place it will cost less than you can get it at the dealer, but not as cheaply as you can get it from the salvage or ebay.
yes
Legend
Not very likely to be interchangeable. There were many changes over those years. I would suggest checking with local auto salvage yards (junk yards) for a better assessment...
NO, salvage value is subjective. The salvage price is usally set by bids. Depends. If it's salvage the price is very subjective. If it's salvage but reconstructed (i.e. roadworthy) it's typically worth 60% of the value of a comparable car with a clean title. Use kbb.com and edmunds.com to determine appx value.
Salvage yard. Measure the diameter of the wheel, or if it has a tire mounted, just look on the tire. The wagon comes with full size spare-Don't know why you would want a donut. But,the full size rim could be found in salvage yards.
As for the life insurance the answer is yes. For the auto the answer is maybe. If the cars are jointly titled then most likely yes as long as both or you remain in the same state. You will have to consult with your agent to find out what the exact company policies are regarding people you can and can't have on your insurance policy.
