Not necessarily. Small tornadoes are usually weak, with strong ones usually being much larger, but some tornadoes have become very intense even though they were fairly small. For example, the Sherman, Texas tornado of 1896 reached F5 intensity while it was only 60 yards wide.

It can seem that way at times. A small, weak tornado can dissipate suddenly in a matter of seconds.

Is an F0 tornado same as a gustnado?

No. An F0 tornado is simple a weak tornado, or one that does little to no damage. A gustnado is a vortex that resembles a tornado that forms in the outflow boundary of a severe thunderstorm. Gustnadoes can occasionally cause damage comparable to an F0 or F1 tornado, but they are not considered tornadoes.

Is f1 the biggest tornado?

No. For one thing, Fujita (F) scale ratings measure the strength of a tornado, not its size. F1 is the second weakest rating a tornado can get (F0 is the weakest). Weak tornadoes such as this are generally small, but occasionally can be large. The highest rating a tornado can get is F5.

What is the cost after a little tornado?

It varies. Many small, weak tornadoes touch down and never cause damage or only cause damage to trees, so there is no cost of damage. When weak (EF0 or EF1) tornadoes do hit property, damage is typically in the tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Costs may occasionally reach into the millions. However, not all small tornadoes are weak. A small but intense (EF3+) tornado striking a community can cause damage in the millions to tens of millions of dollars.
