Pluto may be found about 40 astronomical units away from the star Sol. You could also say it is about 328 light minutes from Sol. Sol itself is in one of the spiral arms of the Milky Way galaxy, about 2/3rds from the center.

∙ 12y agoNo, it is the other way round. The Milky Way is the name of our Galaxy, which consists of billions of stars, many of which have a planetary system. Sun, our star, also known as Sol, is the center of our planetary system called the Solar System.

∙ 13y agoYes, astronomy considers all solar objects directly bound to the gravity of the sun to be a part of the solar system, the Oort Belt (around 50,000 AU); some argue that this extends to around 2 light years (125,000 AU) from the center point of the sun. Pluto is about 39 AU from the sun.
