laminated
Everything that i have seen says that it is solid spruce with laminated maple sides.
Blake Shelton plays with a Takamine solid top acoustic.
You could take out the pickups and then have a look at the cavity. You should be able to see the cross section of the guitar top. From the thickness of the top you can tell if its laminated or solid.
It can be both.
A solid body guitar is just that, the body of the guitar is made of solid wood, some time one piece or a few, with no sound holes. A semi-hollow body guitar is made more like an acoustic guitar but more shallow, usually with sound holes off to the side rather than in the center as an acoustic guitar would. These sound holes are often in the shape of an "F."

I may be wrong but it certainly looks exacty like a Takamine F-360s, 's' standing for solid top (spruce). I have the same guitar 1987 model. Made in Japan. I was told these are the "lawsuit model" guitars because Takamine made a exact copy of a Martin D28 (primo guitars but big $$) and Martin filed a lawsuit to protect their baby. These particular Takamine guitars are greatly under-valued, IMOA. The sound is nothing short of amazing how it projects and fills the room your playing in.
Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is a material made of thick veneers laminated along the grain direction, hot pressed and glued, and then sawed. Compared with solid wood, LVL has the advantages of uniform structure, high strength and good dimensional stability, which can meet the application requirements of wood structure building, bridge, furniture and transportation. Main species: Masson pine laminated veneer, eucalyptus laminated veneer, Yunnan pine laminated veneer, Larch laminated veneer, poplar laminated veneer, bamboo bundle laminated veneer, bamboo and wood composite laminated veneer.

Solid timber is cut from a single piece of wood. Plywood is manufactured from several sheets of wood laminated together.

If, by 'one piece', you mean solid -as opposed to laminated- then the answer is that a solid core will have significantly-higher eddy current (circulating current) losses than a solid core.
