It's a matter of personal preference.
Tampons allow women more freedom to be more active such as participating in swimming and gymnastics, however they are not very healthy or hygienic so pose multiple health risks and can increase menstrual cramps - due to health risks like TSS there are also many precautions to follow, including having to wear pads, so they aren't very convenient. Pads can be more uncomfortable depending on what type you wear, but are simpler to use with fewer risks.
There's a lot of variation between different types of tampons and pads too - for example a commercial pad is far different from a cloth pad, or a conventional tampon is far different from a soft or sponge tampon. There are also other options too such as menstrual cups and softcups which are internal like tampons but safer and more hygienic so no health risks and fewer precautions to follow, also with cups there's no need for pads at all.
It's a matter of personal preference if tampons or pads are better.
Consider other options like menstrual cups and softcups too.
Choose whatever option you think works best for your lifestyle.
The answer to this is a matter of opinion, different people prefer different products.
Tampons hold more flow and are internal so more discreet than pads, thus many women prefer them - although with tampons you still have to use pads, it's not safe or hygienic to use tampons throughout your entire period. But tampons have multiple health risks such as TSS and increased risk of vaginal infections, also dioxin and other harmful toxins are present in tampons, plus tampons can increase menstrual cramps. Again, it's a matter of determining which you prefer to use.
It is completely down to personal preference.
Tampons are internal so they are more discreet and can be worn for sports like swimming, but tampons pose health risks like vaginal infections and TSS. Pads are simpler with fewer precautions than tampons, but can be bulky and uncomfortable for some. Remember that with tampons you still have to use pads sometimes too, also there are other options like menstrual cups and softcups too.
A pad is healthier than a tampon.
Tampons provide bacteria with the perfect place for bacteria to thrive within the vagina, while also preventing vaginal self-cleaning and self-defensive functions - also tampons damage vaginal tissues allowing bacteria access to the bloodstream. When using tampons you have to alternate with pads to allow the vagina a chance to clean itself, readjust pH, and heal after tampon use to reduce risk of vaginal infections and Toxic shock syndrome (TSS is a risk with tampons, but not with pads).
Both disposable tampons and disposable pads contain potentially harmful chemicals that can cause irritation, allergic reaction, higher risk of vaginal infections, and can have long-term health risks. Cotton disposable tampons and pads are slightly healthier, but cloth pads, menstrual cups, and softcups are the most hygienic and safest menstrual products.
It's a matter of opinion which is better out of a tampon or a pad, or another menstrual option.
Pads are much safer and simpler to use, there are various options including disposable and cloth pads which can be vastly different from each other and some people prefer cloth pads due to the various fun designs. Tampons aren't very hygienic and there are many precautions to follow which makes them a little inconvenient but they are internal so not as noticeable and allow you to swim.
Tampons in my opinion
they are smaller and less noisey (for use in public places)
a pad is better because it catches everything
answer: But a tampon is way better under skimpy clothes or when participating in water sports.
they both have the same chemicals to keep odors away so they are the same but tampons are more comfortable you cant feel them and with pads it feels like you have a major wedgy
Pads.
Tampons are so much better!!! You can be sooo much more active, you u don't feel like your wearing a diaper, and you don't feel wet. It takes a one or two days to find the right size, brand, and angle for the tampon.
It's a matter of opinion which is better between tampons and pads - although when you're using tampons you still have to use pads, also there are other options like menstrual cups and softcups.Pads are a lot simpler than tampons and don't have health risks like Toxic Shock Syndrome like tampons. Tampons are internal so more discreet but have various health risks which means they're also inconvenient as there are a lot of precautions you have to follow, including still using pads.
No, not all girls have to wear tampons and in fact there's little reason to use tampons when there are other options like pads or menstrual cups available. Girls often use tampons because they prefer them to pads and may not know that options like cups exist and can be much better than tampons. Some people cannot use menstrual cups so will use tampons when they need internal menstrual products.
if they keep slipping maybe its too small and just slides out of ur vag
Well, tampons you can't really feel and pads it feels like you are wearing a diaper. Sometimes people just prefer tampons because when you get up with pads, it feels like there is a rush of blood flowing out. Tampons are more disposable and there's less chance of a leak. Then again to prevent leaks with a tampon is to wear a panty liner. But a way to feel alittle more fresh when your on your period is to bring some compack wet wipes from a brand such as always or playtex. It will just make you feel more clean and wash away all of the left or dried blood.I know it sounds revolting but no need to panic. And you can also swim with tampons rather then pads. So there for tampons are more disposable then pads. Thank you for listening to me blabber on. :)

Menstrual cups are also more convenient than tampons or pads as they can be worn for up to 12 hours with any flow and at any time without needing to alternate with pads as you would with tampons, menstrual cups also don't leak like tampons or pads. Look into all your options to see what you think will work for you.
I love "Always Infinity" for a pad, and my favorite tampon is "Tampax Pearl". I think I like pads better, they are overall more comfortable. They don't work as well though.
The choice as to whether tampons or pads are better is a personal one. Some people find tampons more convenient, and some prefer pads. There is no health reason to use either unless you have previously had toxic shock, or are in a situation where hand washing or other hygiene aspects are difficult, in which case pads would be preferable. Both can be used throughout the period.
they are both fine its what makes u more comfortable with i prefer tampons cause wen i wear pads it feels like im wearin a diaper. yeah i started with pads for like a year and then switched to tampons and i dont think i could go back :P
Besides tampons there are also pads and cups. There are various different types of tampons, pads, and cups which are all a little different. Tampons for example can be vastly different, you may not be comfortable with conventional tampons but soft tampons or menstrual sponges are very different so may work better for you. There are also different types of cups, menstrual cups are a bell-shaped cup which have advantages such as the fact they don't leak like other options, but there are also diaphragms and softcups which are dome shaped and sit higher in the vagina so allow mess-free sex on your period.
