Is affection important in a relationship My boyfriend doesn't show me any but says he loves me but doesn't show it. By the lack of affection does that mean he doesn't love me?

sometimes how we act in relationships depends on what we experienced as children. His family may not have been very affectionate or comfortable at showing their love. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you, it may be just that he can't or doesn't know how to show you. But if this bothers you now then it may always bother you. Maybe you should try talking to him and tell him your worries.
