Is food in the stomach in the external or internal environment of the body?
Epithelium
No. This is an common misconceptiion. Respiration is considered external if it occurs in the lungs. When it occurs in body tissues it is considered internal respiration.
Plasma is the only fluid that circulates throughout the body and links external and internal environment.
The skin
no it is only internal unless your lungs are out side your body :)
The human body self-regulates to maintain a stable internal environment despite changes in the external environment is a process called homeostasis. They begin by looking at how the human body regulates temperature and the value of a feverin fighting infection.
The cellular membrane allows communication between the internal and external environment. Through movement, particles are able to flow throughout the body.
The nervous system.
Homeostasis keeps an organism's internal environment stable, even if the external environment is not. Examples include temperature of the body and the amount of water in the body
External respiration is to breathe and facilitate gas exchange in the lungs or an analogous body cavity, depending on the organisms anatomy. Cellular respiration is the process of oxidative phosphorylation, where ATP energy is generated from biomolecules by the cell. In aerobes, the process involves a series of electron steps and oxygen is the terminal electron acceptor
External respiration occurs in the lungs where oxygen diffuses into the blood and carbon dioxide diffuses into the alveolar air. Internal respiration occurs in the metabolizing tissues, where oxygen diffuses out of the blood and carbon dioxide diffuses out of the cells.
