The ignition temperature of kerosene (#1 fuel oil) is 490 degrees fahrenheit (254C), the same as all fuel oils.
a fuel pump is already running all the time, it is what makes the car move. but if the timing is off or the carbarator is clogged it will make the the same basic problems for the engine as a fuel pump.
The A380 uses the same fuel as all other airliners, known in the USA as 'Jet-A' and most other places as Jet Fuel. This is a kerosene based fuel similar to diesel.
